the market by the ferry terminal had some jewish food thing that said “since 5771”

and i was laughing because 5771 was like three years ago

but, i mean, i know that, but to me it’s ingroup so it doesn’t matter, and most people don’t know that

so you know

today i walked up the railing by the mosaic stairs in sf, and, while standing on a part of railing about three feet above the stairs, i fell outwards into the cement thingy on the side for water to flow down when there’s rain 

90% of my weight landed on my thigh on a cement corner (two-direction, not three-direction) 

so, you know, i got up, took off my shoes, went the rest of the way up on the railing, ran back down for my shoes and went to the top of the hill (there are some other sets of stairs above) and then did other stuff for a few more hours and it wasn’t a big deal 

 but there’s a giant bruise (like the size of my entire hand now) on my leg that is raised above the normal level of my skin and warm when i touch it and it hurts to stand on that leg 

and 

if i had fallen on my head i would probably be dead 

especially given the greater distance from my head to the ground 

and i mean i wouldn’t fall on my head, because i am competent at falling and the whole point there is not to fall on your head, but still 

holy shit 

routinely being in actual physical danger is great tho 

i mean, maybe not for like surviving, but from like a quality of life point of view
